If you want to easily move files wirelessly between an Android smartphone or tablet and a PC or laptop then read this how to share files on Android over a network.
It's pretty easy to move files to and from and Android device with a regular USB cable but you might want to do this wirelessly. Perhaps one person wants to send or be able to grab files from another person's Android smartphone from their desktop PC.
This can be done quickly and easily as long as the two devices are connected to the same network.
There're multiple ways of achieving this but we've written this guide using an app called WiFi File Transfer.The limitation with the free version is that files have to be 5MB or smaller. You can pay 88p for the Pro version which removes this restriction.
You can also check out others like Pushbullet and AirDroid. You could also use cloud storage services.

If you're looking to move files between two Android devices we recommend using NFC if they both have or Bluetooth otherwise.
How to share files on Android over a network
Step One
Download and install WiFi File Transfer from the Google Play Store.
Step Two
Make sure your Android smartphone or tablet is connected to the same network as your PC or laptop.
Step Three
Launch the WiFi File Transfer app on your Android device. An icon should have been placed on your homescreen by default.
Step Four
Press the Start button.
Step Five
Enter the IP address and port number displayed on your device into a web browser on your PC and laptop and hit enter.
Step Six
If successful the browser will load the WiFi File Transfer interface. From here you can browse and manage your device's internal storage and SD card if it has one. You can both upload and download files between the two devices.
